Surprised Utd allowed him to go out on loan
The rags have been mired in filth and squalor for decades
He could be the poster boy

They could've brought Ryan Giggs in to mentor him

I think it’s largely irrelevant what has happened now.

The message it would send by taking him back would just be too negative.

I still think there was an angle here for him to actually try and do some good, but that ship has long since sailed.

He's never playing for us again. It's time to move on. The public backlash would be ridiculous.

Of course the reaction hasn't been the same in Spain. He's not as high profile there and Spanish people probably haven't heard the audio like we did.

Could have been a future Balon D'or nominee with his natural ability but he's really made a mess of things.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They have access to the audio just as readily as we do.

And what do you think the public backlash would be?
Protests, fans staying away, sponsorships tearing up deals?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Media would have a field day. Women's groups etc. it's not a good look for a club that's trying to sort out a million and one other issues out.

He's finished in England. He's going to have to play abroad his whole life I think now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Have a field day how? He spoke to his missus terribly, but she has forgiven him, and they have moved on, whilst the club are satisfied, he didn't do what he was accused of, and the CPS weren't convinced they could secure a conviction on any of the charges.

There are players and managers still under investigation for rape, yet clubs aren't folding or sacking people under pressure from the media or womens groups.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Somebody clearly doesn’t have a daughter.

And if you do, god her help.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Rape can happen to all genders, young and old.

True.

AWB could have tutored him on sensible drinking.

Harry Maguire could have given him a few pointers on how to behave on holiday.

8 goals in 30 games for Getafe. What is all the fuss about? If he was always a Getafe player and had no baggage, would United fans be saying we should buy this guy?

Sensitive is a good description.

Why else would fans of football, be offended at the presence of a very good young footballer, accused of but not tried for a crime, and since forgiven by the alleged victim?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because they think he’s guilty.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Of?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Being an absolute wrong who knocks his missus about.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why? He was never accused or charged with assault (knocking her about)

I don't care what other clubs do.
But the recording showed him to be, at the very least, a bully to the woman he supposedly loves.
Has changed, made any apologies, not that I know of, so no.

My god. Let's hope we don't find out Hojlund called a girl fatty at school, 1 day, or Mainoo made his sister once.

I wonder if he would have reacted the same if Greenwood was an Amazon delivery driver rather than a highly paid footballer.

No chance should he play for United again. Hes done with United. We have moved on. He'd also get abuse in the PL playing for United and would be a malor distraction for Uniteds new programme under INEOS.

Greenwood is yesterday's news.

Because they’ve seen the photos and heard the audio. You asked a question and many people will think he’s guilty and won’t give a shiiiiiiiiiiit about court. Do you think people in 1925 said ‘Al Capone, good bloke actually?’

Most of the other fans look like they don’t want the publicity that comes with that.

That’s the answer to your question. Deal with it.

After 18 months out, he has a better goal return from open play than Saka.

I've chatted with fans at games about this, granted only been to 4 this season but the feeling I got was most were against him returning? And as I've said it's down to the individual but you did ask in the OP?

In my experience (typically 30 plus age range of fans) would love him back from a footballing perspective.

The only potential issue for them would be if the more sensitive type of fan made a fuss online.

Personally, I think INEOS is better than being forced to make a decision based on some fans who don't have the whole story.

Think he is guilty of what, and bases on what?

He spoke to her terribly, but that's it. The club have said he didn't do what he was accused of, and the CPS after a thorough investigation, decides they wouldn't proce he did anything illegal.

As a fan, should he play for United again, how would it make you feel / how would you react?

Now I've got you're perspective I don't agree at all and that's fine, NO ONE has the whole story only what has been released and is pertinent to what helps him imo, I can't be bothered to be typing all what I think is wrong but I dispute what you say about the "30 plus" group as I speak to a whack of them as well, You asked a question on here did you not? and the majority have said they don't think he should come back but you've chosen to ignore that fact? Fair enough, I've said from the start that everyone is entitled to an opinion but I also didn't ask the question, you did but it was obviously slanted and you're not willing to comment on the response are you?

No issue from me, fair enough mate
