Would you back Ange?

Yes definitely, he needs more that a starting 11 to play this way.

But does also have to recognise you need to work on defensive tactics.

Levy won’t back anyone with the actual players they need

He will deliver spence or rondon or Werner

History has proved this.

Yes. He needed more than the one season anyway and it isn't quite his own team yet.

He has to be.

We've had some abysmal performances over the last few months, but he needs have a better squad that doesn't include the likes of Davies and PEH.

And if he can't teach the team how to defend, then they need to employ someone who does.

We need a big summer and get Ange the players he needs, then we can judge him fully.

If there is still no sign of improvement, especially defensively, then there is a decision to be made.

Our problem, as always, will be Levy, he has left every manager under his tenure short of a complete squad capable of challenging, and I see no reason to think it will be any different for Ange.

Ange has done enough to be backed, and the kind of players he'll be after should be progressive footballers so even if it all goes tiiits up next season a new manager would have plenty to work with.

My opinion of Ange has regressed alot of late. I just don't know what he does to improve players or our setup. We've got worse and if argue that we are actually quite boring to watch at times.

I guess he gets given half a season so see what improvement (if any) he can offer us but I'm far from sold and not optimistic.

Needs backing to deliver results, hopefully Levy does it.

Would like us to sign Toney, Palhinha, Gallagher and someone like Raphinha. All Premiership proven players that would improve our starting 11.

There is no way we’re paying for those players unfortunately.

Why is the focus always on levy when the players are underperforming from their level? For the players ange has, 5th is maybe about our level, but the performances are not, so he needs to be questioned

That's about £250m!

Though we will sell the likes of Gil, Royal, PEH, Davies and GLC.

So we'd only then require about £249m.

It looks like this is going to be worse than Poch's first season. Similar position and points in all likelihood but Poch did more with his situation. He got 5th but with it he got a cup final and had to play European football. He also never spent near the money that Ange has been given. As we know Poch then finished 3rd in the league the following season after a rather low points tally title race. I think we should equally expect Ange to do something good next season.

Ange on set pieces:

"Disappointing... if I thought set-pieces were the answer to us bridging the gap, I'd put all my energy into that."

😳 are you for real… mate?????

His arrogance is all the more irritating when he’s not winning matches. I like managers to be humble enough to know the areas they need to work on, not blindly repeating the same mistakes because he’s so headstrong regarding his philosophy. A good manager recognises where changes need to be made. I’m so sick of us just turning up and routinely conceding 2/3 goals a game.

Where did he say that?? Even man city and real madrid change their tactics but he thinks we dont need to

Anything he says is not going to go down well right now.

He’s does seem a bit annoyed to me lately. He was very spikey with the journos in his presser on thus/fri too.

Dunno but it all seems it’s going wrong and will implode… feck knows what we will have next season as a team, manager/coaches

Nope

Not on the evidence before our eyes of a basic refusal to learn anything and a complete failure to prepare for deficiencies that we all see.

I was with him until a couple of months ago, but kept my powder dry as I knew I was a minority, but was confident it would be obvious by the end of the season.

The manager can only do so much the rest is on the players , Romero despite being one of our better players was at fault for there second goal , these players should know by now if you switch off for a second it can cost you. Give Ange another year and i care what happens . at the start of the season we'd have bitten off a hand to be where we are now .

Badly need to some sort of result/performance against Chelsea. Thursday can't come soon enough.
