Oh no! Not having that Phoenix!
People!! look at the timing of his return dammit!
Flash announces his return, and all of a sudden, a few hours later, look whose here!!
Listen pal, i know your game! He’s mine!
You saw what happened last season! This was 7 years in the making! After you ruthlessly kidnapped him, his life went to hell. Turned to drugs.
But 7 years later, Destiny finally came!
Now I’m at the tippy top of the mountain, and when the moment is right, i will start an avalanche, that will waste all your punk asses!!!

(Great to have you back Phoenix!. We noticed. And you were missed. Hope all is good with you).

Any proposed changes, i’m most probably gonna be cool with, but have to disagree about the depth of QB, cos now we have lost Tannehill as a starter, i think there aint that many top tier options now and... ?! Whose laughing?! I can hear laughing...

I saw someone post in the fanatsy league page and stopped by here, it has nothing to do with Josh Gordon... <wink>

But on a similar note, string, i have him in my dynasty team, and I got an offer this morning to trade him.

Josh Gordon and a late 2020 2nd round pick
for
Njoku

Considering my TEs are Olsen and Seals Jones and my WRs are Hopkins, Evans, Golladay, Pettis, Allison, MVS and I drafted Parris Campbell as well, and then I picked up your Preston Williams, it isnt a bad offer.

Ive countered with:
Josh Gordon + Damien Williams +late 2020 2nd + early 2020 3rd
for
Njoku and a mid 2020 1st

Think this will get done, which will then allow me to keep my receivers, and next year draft a QB and a RB in the 1st round of what is a very stacked class.

What the!? Wow! Initially it sounds like you giving up a lot... you sure you’re not tanking!?
Damien Williams is the key to that deal methinks. Many would bite your hand off.
And QBs gonna be great next draft. Yeah, thats the Phoenix i know, always plotting.

I am tanking mate, I didnt understand the importance of 2nd QBs in dynasty, so I drafted Tom Brady because I thought of zigging when everyone was zagging.
So although my team I drafted was decent, I traded some pieces away with the thought of drafting next year as well then being ready.

To give you an idea, my current roster is:

QB: Fitz and Rosen...thats it.... and its superflex
RB: Mixon, DWil, Ito Smith, and I got Pollard in the 4th round of our rookie draft
WR (and this is quite impressive considering most of these I got through trades): Hopkins+Evans+Gordon (draft), Pettis, Golladay, Miller, Ross, Allison, MVS, (through trades), and from the rookie draft this year I took Parris Campbell, Deebo Samuel, Pollard and Preston Williams.

My tight ends as mentioned are Olsen and RSJ.

Plan is to start the season with this roster and Njoku and 2 1st round picks for 2020 and 3 2nd rounders, basically tank, grab a QB next draft to go with Rosen possibly, and a RB to pair with Mixon, and possibly use one of my WR2 and a 2nd round pick to move back into the 1st round to grab another QB.

Then there is always Lawrence for 21 draft.

Enough about that.

Lets see what others think about a superflex position and a 0.5PPR and we shall get going from there

posted on 17/8/19

No, sounds like a good plan. But the others must be onto what you’re doing. I’m in my second season of a dynasy league. 32 teams!!
Overwhelmed is the word.
I had taken over a team whose star player was AJ Green.
2025 season cannot come quick enough.....

Fortunately, they all think they are win now mode, so they arent too concerned with me

Where is everyone?

I'm here!

Ready for another season of FF even though the drama in the NFL is getting a bit ridiculous now.

Hey Phoenix, I sent out a call to the guys... maybe some are away for the Hols.
but most said they were coming back.

posted on 19/8/19

String, you seem to be very quick to respond to things, is there an app or notifications or something ive missed in the time ive been away?

posted on 19/8/19

No nothings changed, Phoenix.
i had Ja606 on my ipad on the weekend so thats why i was around. Also getting into a heavy debate with a fellow UTD fan for the last couple days, so been on here checking regularly, especially since you put the call out.
I sent the link to the others.
And you know, you need to post something to keep it trending, so the others know the threads active...

posted on 20/8/19

So, to keep this thread trending a bit until others join, string, how longs your dynasty league been running? When was your start up draft (heading into which season)? Settings? Which platform do you use? Have you been at the helm since the start or did you inherit it?

posted on 20/8/19

And of course, who do you have?

posted on 20/8/19

Last year i was invited.
Didnt realise it was this big.
I havent checked, i know the draft is next week. But no one has offered me anything for Pat Mahomes.
But he aint going anywhere.
Picked up Josh Gordon, so those 2 will be my keeper. But to be honest ive been concentrating on just our league and my own 8 man idp ppr league i’ve been running for 7 years.
Haven’t really delved into the nuances of this Dynasty league.

posted on 20/8/19

How long yours been going on for?

posted on 20/8/19

So yours is a keeper league, not a dynasty?
Keeper is when you keep a few players, dynasty is you keep basically everyone and add through free agency and the rookie draft

posted on 20/8/19

Oh!! Rigght! Yeah its a 32 man keeper league.
Doh!

Is your Dynasty on NFL.com?

We had our start up draft last year heading into the 2018 season.
I picked first overall and went safe with Hopkins.
We have 25 man rosters, which during the off-season go to 30 man, and 3 IR spots.
It's a 0.5 PPR league with Superflex. I did not understand the value of QB in this format, and went for Brady after everyone was gone. I managed to get Rosen and Fitz at the end to at least have someone to play occasionally.
Needless to say, my qb is so weak I have decided to go rebuild my team with future qbs. I'll post below a list of trades I've done.

We use sleeper.app and couldn't recommend it enough. It's great and free and they keep developing it.

posted on 20/8/19

Is that through the App store?
Yeh, let us know your trades. Be interesting to see. Chances are somebody else will be tanking as well..

posted on 20/8/19

Fortunately, with us only drafting last year everyone thinks they can win now.
Also, the two other teams that finished bottom with me, lost Bell last year and AJ and some others, so they think it was just bad luck and they can still win.
I'm realistic, I know that especially in dynasty you either a contender, a contender in a few years (1-3 years) or a rebuild. I'm a rebuild as I don't have any QB.
Gimme an hour, I'll post my trades and where it involves draft picks, what those resulted in.

Also, sleeper.app is a website and they also have a website

Cool nice one, i’ll check back in a bit.

My team to start the 2018 season was:

QB
Brady, Bradford, Flacco, Rosen

RB
Mixon, Alex Collins, Bernard, Foreman, Ito Smith, Ronald Jones, John Kelly, Raheem Mostert

WR
Hopkins, Evans, Flash, Crowder, Carlos Henderson, Ardarius Stewart, Mack Hollins, Eq.St. Brown, Geronimo Allison

TE
Olsen, Gescki

K
Elliott, Tucker

Def
Texans, Jaguars

Trades (date)
All of these happened after the end of the season, before the draft:
Gave: My 2019 1st round pick (1.03)
Received: Cousins, John Ross, Dante Pettis

Gave: Tom Brady
Received: Kenny Golladay, 2020 2nd round pick and Eli Manning (he had to drop him anyway)

Gave: Cousins and Foreman
Received: Stills and 2019 1st round pick (1.07)

Gave: 2019 3rd round pick (3.03), 2019 1st round pick (1.07)
Received: Anthony Miller and 2019 1st round pick (1.09 which became Parris Campbell)
(This one is probably my favourite cause i managed to get 2 good receivers I think for essentially a 3rd round pick)

Gave: Ronald Jones
Received: 2020 2nd round pick
(I really like this, because I think the Bucs will 100% draft an RB next year, so I got some value out of nothing)

This weekend:
Gave: Josh Gordon and what should be a late 2nd round 2020 rookie pick
Received: David Njoku

My rookie draft involved adding:
1.09: Parris Campbell
2.03: Deebo Samuel (Mitigate damage with also owning Pettis. One of the is bound to become #1 considering the draft capital the 49ers invested in them)
4.03: Bryce Love (I LOVE this pick, if you consider that heading into last years college season, Bryce Love was probably the unquestioned top skill position player. He tore his ACL so slid down the draft board and ended up behind Guice, who is also recovering from a similar injury, then the other RBs on the Redskins are disposable soon.

Post Draft I also added:
Preston Williams, I am sure youve heard of this kid
Emmanuel Hall. Guy is fast, he could fetch value with a few performances
Tony Pollard, his tape shows a complete back that at the very least will get 8-10 touches, mainly receptions
Stanley Morgan, because with AJ Green, Ross, Boyd ahead of him, hes basically an injury or two from being relevant on the roster

Therefore, my current roster is now:

QB
Rosen, Fitz

RB
Mixon, Damien Williams, Ito Smith, Tony Pollard, Trayveon Williams, Bryce Love

WR (this is deep)
Hopkins, Evans, Pettis, Golladay, Allison, Ross, Miller, Valdes-Scantling, Eq. St. Brown (who I will drop), Justin Watson, Deebo Samuel, Parris Campbell

TE
Njoku, Olsen, Ricky Seals Jones (played in Texas A&M under Kilff, so he is already aware of the offense)

K
Tucker

Def
Texans and Jaguars

I am more than likely going to have the 1st overall pick next year, but I will also have 3 2nd round picks, which I plan on using along with any WR that shows WR2 breakout to get a 1st rounder.
With these picks Ill be taking whichever QB goes early (Tua?) and whichever RB the Chiefs take.

Then, Ill still be 1 QB from relevancy, and grab Trevor Lawrence the following year, to hopefully have:
QB: Tua and Lawrence and Rosen (if he settles)
RB: Mixon in a contract year, Chiefs RB
WR: Hopkins age 29, Evans age 27, Pettis/Deebo, Golladay
TE Njoku

Hopefully that will be solid if they pan out, but this is football, and they may all be out the league by then
