Ja606 Legends Weekly Update 27/1/12

BottomPad hasn't been doing much of these lately so here is my update on what happened in the ja606 Legends (now defunct) last matchday yesterday:

MATCH 1
Ja606 1-1 Chexup
Goalscorer - SKA

A boring match, conceded a fluke goal on the break early on but we generally were a bit like Arsenal, loads of possesion, not many chances. Just before half-time SKA's pro jumped up from a corner and netted it. That was about it.

MATCH 2
Le onze d'Or -DNF- Ja606
We met these ers twice in a row, they had 6 players on their team and first time they all quit within 30 minutes and then we met them again where they all quit before the match had even started. I hope the first DNF counts as a win, the only way we can win these days

MATCH 3
Ja606 1-3 Fennec Town
Goalscorer - SKA
This was a hard match and the other team missed a number of good chances, although so did we. SKA again rose above the defence and headed into the back of the net but in the end it was a dissappointing loss

MATCH 4
Fonky Family CF -DNF- Ja606
Not quite sure what happened here, we were dominating and had loads of chances but was still 0-0 at half time. Played some good football and we were all looking forward to the second half, and then Fifa of course decides to go crazzzeeee and it froze midway.

MATCH 5
Ja606 0-7 Red Wings
Choice
Erm the less said about this match the better, they ran all over us and there were many defensive blunders.

Gervinho
We were all quite confident for this game. It was our last game at our beloved Aloha Park, a strong crowd of 10'000 had turned up, Junioramo aka Balotelli had returned and we hoped to finish on a high. Well...the less said about it the better, embarassing loss, Junioramo left after being at fault for two goals and Choice and Gervinho had moments of madness! We will refund all the loyal Legends supporters who parted with money for this showing

Player of the session: Junioramo for his amazing cameo
Goal of the session: Hmmm....SKA's first header from a corner...or SKA's second header from a corner...probably the first, at least we got a point that game!

After that the decision was made to split Ja606 Legends into two clubs - Classy Legends and ja606 Hussies , leaving the Legends now a breeze in the wind, really a legend...we love you
