Yeah, about that Chelsea under floodlights

needing to be studied -

Different outfit at night.
Win against Spurs was our 15th match unbeaten run at the bridge, all competitions in the night. 2 draws - Arsenal & Villa FA Cup, which should have been wins. Palmer sitters springs to mind as costly in both.

(By contrast the daytime home record = 4 wins, 4 losses, 3 draws).

Solid foundations to build from at home...for the next manager, as I don't think Pochettino will be around next season.
My only logic behind that thinking is the club not triggering his one-year option, which one would expect should have been activated weeks months ago if the intention was to keep him in position. Makes me think there is an exit clause at the end of this existing season, in which the club wouldn't have to pay much if anything in compensation.

Double over Spurs, lowest average aged squad of the season at 21.4.
Full match completed for the key players given the current ongoing injury unavailability crisis in which said players were looking lassituded and with West Ham on Sunday is a funny (suboptimal) way of safeguarding them.
My constant gripe.

Once Jackson' goal hit back of the net...that was the window to sub Palmer, Jackson, and one of Caicedo or Gallagher expeditiously.
Spare me the "weak bench" strawman chitter-chatter.

Cobham educated youth possess talent, mental edge, high footballing IQ, and versatility in abundance.
When them being on the bench is described as "weak", "poor,", "pathetic", or other such words to that effect...always makes me chuckle like they aren't capable of holding their own alongside or against money signings (and haven't seen that play-out aplenty).
Academy kids have proven time and time again they can be relied-on over the years (more so than certain seniors).
I am the biggest proponent of utilising standout academy players afterall. It's not difficult to facilitate and not alot to ask for.
Speaking of which...Acheampong just in his cameo debut made huge huge blocks to deny them scoring and maintain the clean-sheet -

Will this lead to more opportunities for Acheampong like in the case of Gilchrist? Possibly, and therein lies the problem.

Entrust in them, reap the rewards

(For the record...Hall would have been ideal for the role Cucurella masquerades as).

Had him right here under our noses, chose Cucurella Criminal.
Guess what...we're in a ludicrous predicament in which we are going to scramble to buy a LB, because the managers (Pochettino AND Tuchel) didnt favour the two existing dynamic quality standard ones in Maatsen & especially Hall.
Grounds for dismissal.

Could have saved us alot of money with critical forward-thinking, succession plan and common sense applied.
