I don't think we have any stand out leaders added to that I don't really like forwards being captain.

You gave an opinion that it should not be Son because he's a forward, but you're not backing Romero because you had a hissy fit about this and are now backed in a corner of your own making.

I'd go VDV maybe....but I'd like us to identify a true leader/winner.

It’s obvious the natural leader in the team is Romero. He just needs to cut out the likes of the Chelsea game. Which tbf recently he has shown to channel his aggression better.

Son is the captain because he more experienced and everyone likes him.

Call me old school are whatever. But I don’t want a captain being mr nice guy. The captain has to have the onions to tell others to pull their socks up and try to grab a game by the scruff of the neck when it’s not going our way. Which tbf is exactly what Romero tried v Arsenal.

If Bentancur hadn’t went so off the boil I could’ve seen him as potential captain material.

Maddison isn’t imo. Just Bruno Fernandes lite.

Talk of Romero being tried as a number 6?

Can’t be any worse than our other midfielders currently

It's only us Spurs fans who rate Romero and I doubt Real or any other big club will come in for him. Real have been linked to Lille CB Leny Yoro who is 18yrs old.

Well Saliba has 3 caps for France and Gabriel has 6 caps for Brazil. Both are good CBs but both aren’t as good as Romero. It’s bores to the sum being better than its parts as to why Arsenal defend so well. Well that and them slowing games down when taking a lead. VDV is another inexperienced top talent. With undoubted ridiculous speed. He needs to improve in the air.

Listen game of opinions but I wouldn't swap Romero and VDV for any other two CBs in the PL. Problem we have is with marauding FBs and lack a of proper 6 they will always be exposed. Put Cannavaro and Nesta in this team and they will still ship goals.

He doesn't do it every game for start. We haven't had a clean sheet since 10th March. Not one of our defenders or keeper should be labelled world class. It's delusional. Totally delusion.

With or without a DM, tactics whatever. Roll out all the excuses you need to but if you surveyed 100 non Spurs supporting fans the majority would say he is not world class. The World cup win means nothing. Name me the other defenders without looking them up.

I actually said on here multiple times in the Conte era he should be given the captain's armband to sort himself out.

Let’s just see the trajectory of Romero’s career

Ok but right now he is not as good as some of you think he is and he has a long way to go to be considered world class or one of the best in the league.

Even in the 0-4 win away to Villa, Ollie Watkins skinned him twice, then fluffed his lines.

I'd be happy to just HAVE a Captain for the first time in 10 years!
