Bolton Wanderers v Fleetwood Town

The last 32 of the EFL trophy and a chance to earn a last 16 tie played in the first week of January and push for a trip to Wembley and maybe even win the thing. It's a Tuesday night 7 pm kick off and it's straight to penalties after 90 minutes if the match ends level. Team news. https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2021/november/teens-in-line-for-trophy-time/
Sounds quite clear the academy players will get their chance. A tough ask as none of them are professionals. A bit disappointing after playing the best side to beat Rochdale and qualify it's going to be a depleted side but totally understandable after all the injuries recently. Afolayan is back from suspension and we have 15 pros to help the kids. How many will start? According to evatt they need a rest so who knows.

Will it be iFollow and Pizza's rather the the cost of a ticket and pain to travel to that one.

Politic rescues Port Vale after coming on as a sub with a quick double to send them through in the FA Cup.

We should stand a fair chance of beating Hartlepool. They aren't pulling up any trees in the second division and have lost their last five games.

Although, it will depend on the team selection and whether or not we have any further injuries to worry about.

In the meantime, we concentrate on Tuesday's game against Fleetwood.

Yesterday's result. Accrington Stanley 5-1 Fleetwood Town.

And then we play Accrington on the following Saturday. Let's hope that we win on Tuesday and they lose.

Another weekend off scheduled. Cambridge in 3rd round of the cup so our game early January will be postponed.

The Cambridge game being off a boost as can play a full strength side v Hartlepool as will have a mini mid season break and won't play until the 15th Jan. Also gives time for early signings to bed in and give time to make the right choice in bringing players back from loan. I don't think either politic or Crawford will come back as neither will be needed when players come back or signings made.

Are we all back safe and refreshed from our mini break ?
It's nearly time to start packing again for an evening out at the Fleetwood seaside.
Isn't it strange how Bolton lost it's trams and kept its railway, Fleetwood lost it's railway and kept its trams.
If you intend going, give next door to Fleetwood a knock they've left the lights on.

Good luck to all those Wanderers going on Tuesday. Looks like it may be a bit on the windy side. Best not to bring a hat as it may not be on your head for long.

I wouldn't rule out tomorrow being postponed with the weather conditions.

If you are travelling tonight and spot a hat floating in the wind could you grab it and stick it over the iFollow microphone, that should give them a hint about the buffeting wind noise we often have to suffer.

It's getting quite windy here on the Wyre already. We are a couple of minutes from the sea so I suppose it's expected. However, the forecast is for all over the North West so I expect a game where it will be difficult to control the ball.

I think that may change any ideas that Evatt has if going direct. Taking a punt with long balls could result in lots of missed passes. Keeping the ball on the floor with measured passes may be the way.
