Ramsey getting back to best again?

It was what 3ish years ago when Ramsey was scoring for fun and arguably the best Mf in the league at the time. He hasn't really rediscovered that form recent but over the last couple of months, he seems to be finding that type of form again.

He has 10 goals and 7 assists this season which is great numbers for a midfielder.

We have to tie him down to a new contract in the summer. He is one of our most important players now

He's having a purple patch that's all. Wouldn't surprise me if he's upping his game again just to earn a fat new contract or a move away.

Ramsey finished very well but at the cost of defending. We got away with it.

I suspect Arsenal set up to play around Ozil so Ramsey, Ox and others can get marginalised at times.

Have to say, at this stage, I'd be surprised if he signs a new contract at Arsenal. He probably feels his time at the club is coming to a natural end and, whether he's playing for himself or not, the longer his current 'purple patch' continues the better as ultimately it helps us, not just for what's left of this season, but in raising any potential fee we might get for him in the summer.

Hoddle was talking about him after the highlights last night, suggesting he'd work much better in a different system. Have to wonder whether Ramsey himself knows this, and is part of the reason he's resisting committing himself further to the club.

If Ramsey and Wilshere both go then our infamous British core will fizzle down to... Carl Jenkinson!

Ramsey is being used as an attacking player. I really dont understand why people dont accept that. Wenger said thats his role a while ago and nothing has changed.

Ramsey is a goal threat which Wilshere isn't so on that basis alone if we had to choose 1 I'd go for Ramsey. We now have Mkhi to go with Ozil as creators in the side so Jack isn't so important as he was pre Jan transfer window.

We still vitally need DM/CM back up as Xhaka couldn't be any more mediocre if he tried. Kos, Mustafi, Cech could also all be replaced. An attacking wide player to replace Welbeck would also be handy

He wasn't used as an attacking player. In fact in the first half Wilshere was playing ahead of Ramsey. Rambo was making the 'Lampard' type runs he always does. But it left gaping holes next to Xhaka. Now Wenger may have done that by design because Wenger thinks playing Xhaka deeper is sufficient as a holding player. Xhaka is no Kante. He doesn't have the pace or defensive positional sense to cover side to side. If a better side than Moscow had been give that much space we would be looking at a Forest type result.
