Good news, if false.

Sign untested at Premiership level Serge Aurier, 21, (who'll miss two months next season at the ACoN) and have the problem of what to do with Carl Jenkinson, 22, long term, or sign 'already got his Premiership adaption passed him at another club' Mathieu Debushy, 28, and let Jenko keep developing at a natural pace?

Ooo, what a conundrum...

Stop being a wise a.rse Lex. Aurier is a better right back than Debuchy, premiership experience or not. He is stronger, quicker and would be devastating on the right flank with Theo.
Also being of a similar age with Jenks is hardly a disadvantage as they both can compete fairly for the right back slot and Jenk can play when Serge is off ACON duties.
Aurier is the future, Debuchy is Newcastle level, truly vanilla.

If CJ is good enough for the two months Aurier is away at ACON (2 months that includes PL, FA Cup and CL second round ties) then surely he is good enough for the whole season and buying a replacement is a waste of money...

Also, it is amazing how many people suddenly watch Toulouse games. During the season you struggle to find anyone who watches French league football, but now so many watch this little mid table club? Amazing.

Or are they judging it on 3 games at the World Cup, games in which he has been okay going forward but really suspect in his defending?

In case it's escaped your attention, Debushy is currently keeping, the much mourned on this board, Sagna out of the French national team.

And seeing as I don't believe for one moment that you're basing your assessment of Aurier on anything more than the 3 games he played at the World Cup, it's hilarious how sure you seem that his lack of experience of playing regularly at Arsenal's level won't be a problem to us.

All in all, it's much more to do with sensible consideration on my part than being a wise ärse, fella. Try it sometime.

I see league one fairly regularly. I subscribe to BT sports.. Aurier is a very good RB ; yes better going forward that defensively but he is young and will get better in that regard. He has also been played at LB and CB and put in creditable performances.
For all the moaning gunners here, Sagna is on the decline and Debuchy keeping him out the French side is hardly a plus. Yesterday, I saw him struggle against Nigeria's Musa and Odewingie and provided no outlet on the right flank for France attacking play.
Not saying Debuchy is c.rap but for the premium Mike Ashley will demand and his age, we can surely do better.

Debuchy is good. I'll miss him if he goes.
