Just back in from the game. Not a classic, but 3 battling points that sees us jump in to the top 2.
Looked a jaded performance today, but I guess they put in a hard shift on Tuesday, so not really surprising.
The new lads did ok, nothing special, but its early doors.
Hume was busy as ever, but looked like he missed billy p up front as his foyle. In fact the team missed his hold up play quite badly today.
Good week off now to recharge and come back a bit fresher!
Not sure how bad Spurr was at the end, he limped off, hope its only superficial.

E I E I E I O, UP THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE WE GO!

JR must wonder what he has to do to get the crowds into the Keepmoat.
On the back of probably the best home performance of the season against Sheff Utd (ok we drew) and with a chance to go top the home section of the crowd drops by 2000.
No it wasnt a good performance today, there was no spark throughout the side, but the one piece of class in the game won it.
Funnily enough i always fancy this team to find a goal from somewhere and sure enough we ground out another three points.
Our fifteen wins this season is only bettered by Cardiff in the whole of the league.
Well done Rovers, keep it up.

Cotterill's goal, the only bit of undiluted class in a very forgettable game, reminded me of a film title - "Whistle Down the Wing".

Alibirossi same thoughts as you,but are fans are not the best sorry.the final whistle goes and they all cant wait to get out of the stadium fast enough.Me n Mrs Lanza trying to appauld the plays off and everyone pushing past .It was a poor game yes but we are top of the leaugue, and booing at half time.Sorry but some are so called fans are poor.Hume ran his socks off.

Drfchound, I was one of the missing 2,000 today. Tbh, I simply can't afford to go to every game but I really wanted to be there against the Blades because it had all the spice you can have in game game of football.

What really pi55es me off is the people who walked out around me when the Blades equalised. Why didn't they stay to applaud the team after such a great performance?

I am as disappointed as anyone to see such poor crowds but I honestly think it's an economic issue with the majority of the stay-aways.

Thank you for that Lanzo, it backs up my comment about people who just turn up to slag the team and individuals off. If that's all they can do we are better without them. We could hear the idiots over the mike on player. Then you wonder why the lads prefer to play away.

Lanzo - no disrespect mate but your comments on here are very often negative about the team and certain players.

roversmarc - your reason for not going to the game is a valid one and i didnt mean to cause any offence to anyone in particular.
However not all the absentees will be for the same reason.
If you read the "Will he wont he" thread you will see that there are too many who expect perfection of performance every week.
For gawds sake, it is League One we watch, even PL sides dont get it right every week.

Hound,I prefere to think of myself being realistic rather than negative. It cost us £50,we just wanted to enjoy the full game, and part of the game for us is to see the team leave the pitch.Plastic seats bring plastic fans.........oh how i miss Belle Vue.

Lanza, i also stay to the end of every game and i too like to show my appreciation to the players for their efforts, win, lose or draw.
Belle Vue?
Well i understand your love of the old place, i saw my first game there in 1962.
However if we were still there i think the place would have collapsed by now.
I have to be honest and say that i prefer the new place.
