Luke Rodgers could have sidefooted Port Vale's late leveller over the line, but instead took months of frustration out on the ball as he walloped it into the roof of the net to bring a fitting end to this fabulous contest.
He then roared towards the Lorne Street Stand, flinging his shirt in the air and greeting his subsequent booking with all the regard Roman Abramovich would give to a parking ticket.
The joyous fans didn't care about the yellow card, and why should they after seeing their side have the last word of a pulsating contest. The brilliant game was a rare highlight for the Valiants who were relegated at the end of that season.

Right off we go then , I seriously think Port Vale will be well up for this and they'll fancy their chances, but despite the wholesale changes Leeds are expected to make i'm pretty confident we can nick it so it's 3-1 win for us , Dallas, Ekuban and Viera to score

harj was a pleasure to watch, played some nice stuff, defence looked iffy at times but was to be expected.
All in all a very surprising performance form a team that most had not played together in a real game. Was a joy tbh.
